Premium Slim Automatic Movement
Miyota 9015 is a well regarded automatic, hand wound movement with 24 jewels.
The 28,800 vibrations per hour allow for greater precision and accuracy in time-keeping and result in a really smooth sweep of the second hand.
Using a slim movement allows this watch to be under 11mm in height, meaning it easily slips under shirt cuffs.
Full Swiss Super-LumiNova® Dial and Hands
One of the key design elements is the full Swiss Super-LumiNova® (night glow) on the dial, hour and minute arms.
Super-LumiNova is a branded, Swiss-made, non-radioctive, Strontium aluminate-based photo-luminescent application (lume).
When charged by sunlight, LED or UV light, the lume blazes brightly initially then mutes to a light glow that is visible all night.
Stainless Steel Bracelet and Clasps
Case and bracelet are Grade 316L Surgical Stainless Steel. The steel of choice for biomedical applications, 316L Stainless Steel is also regarded as the standard “marine grade stainless steel” as its low carbon content delivers increased corrosion resistance.
The links are solid, providing the recognisable weight of a good quality watch and ensuring no bracelet ‘jangle’ that is often felt with hollowed bands.
Scratch Resistant Sapphire Crystals
The watch face and exhibition back are protected with sapphire crystal, the most desirable for luxury watchmakers as it is the least prone to scratch or shatter.
Anti-reflective coating has been applied to the top crystal, which not only reduces reflection, but also improves transmission of light to enhance the watch face’s striking colour and texture.
The sapphire crystal is aligned slightly higher than the case to offer some protection to the stainless steel case.

The Metropolitan's aesthetic as well as materials are well suited for office, weekend or outdoor wear.
The Metropolitan’s 100 M water resistance is designed for regular weekend activities such as swimming, kayaking or snorkelling (and is also suitable for non hot water showering).
It is recommended you do not wear your Metropolitan while scuba diving.
